What is a Server? In processing, a server is your personal computer program or a tool that provides features for other programs or devices, called "clients". This structures is named the client-server model, and an individual overall computation is allocated across multiple functions or devices. Machines provides various functionalities, categorised as "services", such as posting data or resources among multiple clients, or doing computation for a customer. An individual server can provide multiple clients, and an individual client may use multiple servers. A customer process may operate on the same device or may hook up more than a network to a server over a different device.
